Mini-Hollywood
In the incredible landscape of Tabernas desert,
this Western City, recalls the "Wild West". Mini Hollywood
at Tabernas is 30 kilometres away from Almería. The amazing
desert landscape of inland Almería has provided the location
for a number of famous films. Peter O'Toole's Lawrence of Arabia
was shot here and Mini Hollywood provided the set for a number of
westerns including A Fistful of Dollars. The film set is now open
as a tourist attraction, and visitors can even stop for a drink
in the same saloon as Clint Eastwood.
Western Night
Evening trip bringing us to the western village
of Mini-Hollywood. On Arrival you will enjoy an authentic Live Show
of a Cowboy shoot out with wagons and horses, and the opportunity
to visit "The Bank", "The Sherrif's office",
"The Prison", "The wagon museum" or "the
Cactus Garden". Afterwards you will be served a supper in the
purest American style with wine for everybody. Dance, music and
fun till late in the evening assured by the CAN-CAN girls.
Tabernas Wildlife Park
A nature reserve, with more than 100 species
of Iberian and African fauna is located at the center of the Taberna
dessert, an exceptional unique area of 200.000 m2. Right at the
entrance you can visit the bird aviary, an assortment of more than
40 types of reptiles, a crocodile pond, a wild cat area and the
semi-freedom areas where animals such as giraffes, deer, gazelles...
are just waiting to be discovered. There is a fun zoo for the children.
Vera Waterpark
An oasis of fun. This is the coast's hottest,
coolest wettest waterpark for fun and adventures. A wonderful world
of wild water, whirling rides and waterslides for all families.
Bring your own picnic, or choose your favourite food and snacks
at the restaurant. Main attractions: Kamikaze - Black hol - Wave
pool - Slides - Minigolf - Minipark.
Mojacar/Nijar
A white washed village east of Almeria, where
you can still taste the Arabian atmosphere. Then we drive to Garrucha,
a fishermen's village. On the way back we visit Nijar, famous for
its ceramics and handwoven carpets. Before arriving in our hotels,
we make a last stop near Cabo de Gata.
Cuevas de Sorvas
First we spend an hour and a half visiting
the caves will visit the caves. These are "natural" caves
without man-made corridors or electric light. Only galleries perfectly
shaped by the erosion of water and replete with crystals that shine
when hit by the lights of our helmets. It is the most important
alabaster Karst in Europe. At all times we are accompanied by an
expert caver. After the tour, we will move on to the white town
of Sorbas which seems to emerge out of the river waters, with houses
suspended on the edge of the cliff. We will have the opportunity
to admire their pottery and lastly we will also take a "tapa".
